Duel

Time for a DDDD - DUEL!!!

No, seriously ...

Currently I'm developing a skirmisher for the "15 minute wargame contest" over at facebook.

My game I'm planning to enter: Duel.

Duel is about 2 players with 1 mini with guns each duking it out within a small space.

Optionally you might want to play it with 2 minis for 2 players or with 4 players - or even alone. Or even in a different setting - frankly: "Duel" is abstract enough for players to play it in any setting and the rules are simple enough to make it accessible enough for players without any tabletop wargaming knowledge at all.

4 pages of core rules - the rest is entirely optional!

Interested? You can find the beta rules here:

Das Wars

For my German fellows:

No!

Keep calm!

This is about a "board"game I designed (rather: a game that can be played on a single card. A special card, though!)

The game is about the cube shaped inhabitants of the world "DA", battling each other.

If you want it, come and get it.

The rules: http://cloud.catzeyes.de/index.php/s/s4A5bfJykBMmPAf

The card: http://cloud.catzeyes.de/index.php/s/T7H4CajqDgkXoZs

If you don't like the idea of having to print a card to play on, you might want to draw the grid onto a sheet of paper. That way you can use bigger dice, too!

I won't publish this elsewhere! Also, I won't publish this commercially (it's a CatZeyeS game after all!)

If you want to check out more of my games, you can find all of them here:

See you around,

15 minute skirmish game

Over at facebook there was a contest where you had to design a wargame (a skirmisher) that can be played within 15 minutes.

Some folks made fun of this going "each player rolls a die, whoever rolls highest wins".

Well, technically they are not wrong.

It can be done better, though ...

A wargame for this format requires

- Only few miniatures per player (as few as 1)

- A small gaming area

- Little setup time

- K.I.S.S.: Keep It Simple Stupid !!!

... right ...

Challenge accepted ...
